Recognition Dinners

Annually, the Middlesex Elks host a dinner for veterans from Lyons and East Orange and Menlo Park V.A. Hospitals. An appetizing dinner, prepared by our members, is served by the students from Middlesex High School KEY Club International. Furthermore, the Drama Club of the High School entertains our guests with skits from their Spring “Broadway” Show, and dancers from our Local Dance School, all attired with their best costumes, perform for everyone’s enjoyment. A gift bag is handed to each of the veterans at the conclusion of the evening together with hand-made “Thank You” cards designed by our local girl scout troops. The smile on the faces of our guests as they depart and their candid comments are worth every effort put forth by everyone involved in this event.

Pizza Parties

Twice a year, Middlesex Elks go to Lyons V.A. Hospital and host pizza parties for the veterans with distribution of clothing, personal care items and phone cards.

Wounded Warrior Program & Army of Hope

Middlesex Elks are proud supporters of injured veterans. While the Wounded Warrior Program assists injured veterans, the Army of Hope assists the families of those service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
